The business was created by Managing Director, Alex Geraghty, following discussions with publishers and agents about their need for a reliable "pipeline" of talented, undiscovered writers. We enjoy strong support from the publishing world because we only accept quality work for inclusion in our portfolio.
All our submissions are screened by our team of editors picked for their suitability for their work. They all have extensive experience having worked for Curtis Brown, and between them have had over 30 novels published for both adult and children. Their books have been published by a number of different publishers including HarperCollins, Macmillan, Pan, Virago and Scholastic. They are up to date with what you need to do to get your manuscript published, whether you are writing fantasy fiction, romantic novels, literary fiction and non-fiction.
When you submit your first chapter, you will receive a report on your chapter covering aspects such as your writing skills, dialogue, characters and the plot. Our reports are written in such a way that you will be able to use and re-use them on future writing projects and really focus in on techniques to prevent you from falling in to previous traps.
Authors too can have total confidence in our service. We work only with established publishers and agents who genuinely want to invest in new talent. All have passed the requirements for inclusion in the Writers' & Artists' Yearbook.
