The process for getting your chapter on-line is very simple…
- Register your details with us
- Upload your first chapter along with a short brief, your mini-biog and synopsis of your novel (see our FAQ section for tips on writing this)
- Pay the fee of £49
- Receive a report on your chapter from our editors covering aspects such as your writing skills, dialogue, characters and the plot.
- Await feedback from our panel on whether your submission has been successful
- If we accept your chapter, congratulations: it will appear automatically on-line allowing publishers/ agents to contact you directly.
All our submissions are screened by our team of editors picked for their suitability for their work. They all have extensive experience having worked for Curtis Brown, and between them have had over 30 novels published for both adult and children. Their books have been published by a number of different publishers including HarperCollins, Macmillan, Pan, Virago and Scholastic. They are up to date with what you need to do to get your manuscript published, whether you are writing fantasy fiction, romantic novels, literary fiction and non-fiction.
When you submit your first chapter, you will receive a report on your chapter covering aspects such as your writing skills, dialogue, characters and the plot. Our reports are written in such a way that you will be able to use and re-use them on future writing projects and really focus in on techniques to prevent you from falling in to previous traps.
Your chapter will be visible to all visitors to the site, but only registered agents and publishers (whom we carefully vet) will have access to your contact details.
What's more, we actively promote OnlyOneChapter, including our latest authors, throughout the publishing world.
The service costs just £49 per submission and includes hosting your chapter for 12 months on the site. You retain full copyright and there are no additional charges whatsoever.

Publishers/Literary Agents
You can view our authors' work on-line straightaway, but to access their contact details we ask you to complete the registration process.
We don't charge publishers for our services and once registered you'll enjoy all of the following:-

- Free email alerts when writers are added that match your criteria

OnlyOneChapter has no rights over the works or authors on the site and you are free to negotiate with them direct.
